Curetes Street EphesusDay 01: (Sunday) Kusadasi
Arrive in Istanbul, transfer to your flight to Izmir, where you will be met by our staff and transferred to hotel La Vista, in Kusadasi, overlooking the sea.

VISAS: All travelers to Turkey must have a visa. Citizens of most countries can obtain one on arrival. Please let us know what passport you are traveling with and we will confirm whether you can get your visa upon arrival.

Day 02: (Monday) Ephesus, House of Mary
You will begin your full day’s tour with a visit to Ephesus, one of the best-preserved classical cities in the world. This ancient city will give you the best understanding of what life was like in ancient times. This was the second largest city in the Holy Roman Empire and one of the seven wonders of the world. You will also visit the last house of the Virgin Mary and the important museum in Selcuk.  Overnight La Vista Hotel in Kusadasi. (B, L)

Prienne - Ancient City of AthenaDay 03: (Tuesday) Prienne, Didyma and Miletos
After breakfast your tour will first stop at the peaceful site of Prienne, an ancient Hellenistic city, the home of an important Temple of Athena, considered a classic example of pure Ionic style. A short drive from Prienne takes you to Miletos, which was on the sea in ancient times.  Its magnificent theater was built during the Hellenistic period and held 15,000 people.

Driving on, your last stop will be Didyma, not far from the coast. It was an important sacred site in the ancient Greek world and its famous oracle and of Apollo brought large groups of pilgrims as it was second in importance only to Delphi. The name Didyma means twins and refers to the twins Apollo and Artemis. Overnight at La Vista in Kusadasi. (B, L)

Staff will transfer you to the Izmir Airport for your return flight to Istanbul, where you will be met and transferred to Blue House Hotel, situated in the heart of Sultan Ahmet, the rich historic district of Istanbul. Overnight in Istanbul.

Your afternoon walking tour will begin with lunch, and afterwards you will have a tour beginning with the Spice Market. There you will see the best of fresh herbs and spices, amazing sweets, dried foods and a great variety of oils and rose water. Next you will visit the most attractive of Istanbul’s smaller mosques, the architectural gem of Rustem Pasa. The Iznik tiles, inside and out, are among the most profuse of any mosque in Turkey.  Overnight at the Blue House. (B, L)Sultan Ahmet Mosque or Blue Mosque

Day 05: (Thursday) Topkapi, Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque
Today’s tour of Istanbul will start with Topkapi Palace, which was constructed by Sultan Mehmet the Conqueror in 1478. The palace is famous for its superb collection of ceramics and jewels as well as for its intriguing Harem with its walls of exquisite tiles. Continue on to Haigia Sofia, the original having been built in the fourth century by Constantine the Great, the first Christian emperor. After lunch you will be shown the immense Blue Mosque. The beautiful interior tiles from which it gets its name give the entire area a delightful blue atmosphere.  Overnight at the Blue House. (B, L)

Day 06: (Friday) Archaeology Museum, Basilica Cistern, Bazaar
This morning your guide will show you first the Archaeological Museum in the Topkapi Palace outer gardens. This great museum contains the ornate Alexander Sarcophagus as well as a large collection of Turkish, Hellenistic and Roman artifacts. Continue to the enormous Basilica Cistern, which provided a water filtration system for the Great Palace of Constantinople and continued to provide water into modern times.  After visiting the cistern you will be shown the fabled Covered Bazaar, one of the grandest in the world. Day 07: (Saturday) Mustafapasa, Soganli Valley, Taskinpasa Medrese
After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Kayseri, the airport for Cappadocia.  You will be met and transferred to your hotel, the Yunak Evleri. Your touring in Cappadocia begins with lunch in Mustafapasa at an old Greek house, hosted by a local family. Your guide will drive you to Soganli valley, which is one of the earliest settlements in Cappadocia. Continue back to Urgup through the unspoiled villages of Cappadocia with a visit to the Medrese in Taskinpasa, a Theological School of the Seljuk Turks and Keslik Monastery. Overnight at the lovely cave hotel, the Yunak Evleri. (B, L)

Day 08: (Sunday) Dervant Valley, Zelve and Goreme Open Air Museums
Your encounter with Cappadocia’s almost Martian landscape is in the Dervent valley, with its amazing rock formations.  A walk through the Zelve Open Air Museum with its troglodyte houses is a journey into the past. This is one of the earliest inhabited monastic settlements in Cappadocia. After Zelve you visit Pasabag’s “fairy chimneys”, where the voice of the wind harmonizes with the songs of the fairies and then continue the tour as you pause at Avanos, a centre of terracotta art since 2,000 BC. After lunch in Avanos, you will visit the famous Goreme Open Air Museum to see the best examples of Byzantine art in Cappadocia with frescoes and paintings dating from as early as the 10th century. Day 09: (Monday) Underground City of Kaymakli, Uchisar and Return Istanbul
After breakfast your tour begins with a descent towards the center of the earth, in one of the largest and deepest of Cappadocia’s many such settlements, the underground city of Kaymakli. You will then visit the Uchisar Rock-Castle, for a panoramic view of the valleys of Cappadocia. After a short walk in Goreme village, we have lunch at a local restaurant. Overnight at the Yunak Evleri. (B, L)

Day 10: (Tuesday) Konya
Your guide will meet you at your hotel in the morning for your drive to Konya, traveling through the steps of Anatolia to Turkey's bread basket: Konya. On the way, you will visit to the Sultanhan Caravanserai, where, for protection, the medieval merchants used to gather to spend the night, and then continue on to Konya. Strolling through the streets of Konya, you will have lunch at a local restaurant, and then visit the Mevlana Museum, where the 13th century mystic Mevlevi philosophy was taught. You end the day with a visit to Alaattin Hill and Mosque. Overnight at the Hilton Garden Hotel. (B, L)Konya

Day 11: (Wednesday) Antalya
Continue on this morning to Antalya, on the Mediterranean and home of magnificent historical sites such as Aspendos, Perge, and Side. Overnight in Antalya at the beautiful Tuvana Hotel. (B, L)

Day 12: (Thursday) Aspendos, Side, Perge
Today you will have a full day of sightseeing, first visiting Aspendos which was an ancient city in Pamphylia. It is thought that the city was founded around 1000 B.C. and is now known for having the best-preserved theater of antiquity in the world. With a diameter of 315 feet, the theatre provided seating for 7,000.

AspendosContinue on to Side, another ancient city in the region of Pamphylia, one of the best-known classical sites in Turkey. Side was founded by Greek settlers probably in the 7th century BC. Possessing a good harbor, Side's natural geography made it one of the most important places in Pamphylia and one of the most important trade centers in the region.

Your last stop of the day will be at Perge, an ancient Greek city. Today it is a large site of ancient ruins with an acropolis dating back to the Bronze Age. During the Hellenistic period, Perge was one of the richest and most beautiful cities in the ancient world, famous for its Temple of Artemis. Overnight Antalya. (B, L)

AntalyaDay 13: (Friday) Phaselis, Antalya, Return to Istanbul
This morning, after breakfast, you will visit the lovely ruins of Phaselis, a town started by the Rhodians in 700 BC. Because of its location on an isthmus separating two harbors, it became the most important harbor city of western Lycia and an important center of commerce between Greece, Asia, Egypt, and Phoenicia. You will return to Antalya to visit one of the most important and excellent museums in Turkey, the Antalya Museum, with its superb collection of archeological artifacts from Turkey's Mediterranean coast. The collection in this award winning museum was gathered from important ancient Hellenic, Hellenistic and Roman cities, forming the museum's outstanding collection. Your guide will take you to the airport in time to catch your 5:20 pm flight to Istanbul. Overnight at the Polat Renaissance Airport Hotel. (B, L)

Day 14: (Saturday) Staff transfers you to the airport, assists with exit formalities and checking in for your international departure (meals on the flight)

Tour Includes: Domestic flights in Turkey in economy class, transfers pertaining to the tour program, hotels (based on double occupancy), meals as outlined by B for breakfast, L for lunch and D for dinner, tours as detailed including entry fees (please know that the tours in Istanbul are walking tours, NO transportation is included) services of a licensed ENGLISH speaking guide, service charges and taxes.

NOT included: International air, items of a personal nature such as tips, entry visa, entry or exit taxes, phone calls, laundry, beverages with meals or at any time, any items not specifically covered in the included items.
NOTE: During any of our small group tours people may join or leave at various times, however at no time would any group be larger than 16 travelers. We can provide private tours with an additional supplement. The cost depends on the tour chosen.

NOTE:  One adult sharing with children cost is the single adult rate plus the childs rate.
