In Egypt the 1960's a dam was built on the Nile at Aswan. The resulting lake flooded over 300 miles of the Egypt's Nile valley creating one of the largest man-made lakes in the world. With a surface area of over 2,400 square miles the resident fish population has thrived. The lake offers terrific angling combined with a lovely place to visit. It's a magical wilderness of stunning desert scenery, bordered by the clean water of the lake which is dotted with rocky islands. Over 100 species of birds have been recorded with crocodiles, monitor lizards, Dorcas gazelles, golden jackals, and desert foxes all finding the perfect habitat. This tour is a safari in the truest meaning of the term. You are roughing it, camping literally miles away from any civilization. Enjoy it today!! ALL TACKLE WORLD RECORD The Safari: Day 01: (Sunday) Arrive Cairo, staff assists with clearing immigration and customs and transfers you to the Fairmont Heliopolis hotel. Overnight Cairo VISAS: All travelers to Egypt must have a visa. Citizens of most countries can obtain one on arrival. Please let us know what passport you are traveling with and we will confirm whether you can get your’s on arrival. Day 02: (Monday) Breakfast, check out and staff transfers you to the airport, assists with checking in and you fly to Aswan. Arriving staff will transfer you to the Basma Hotel. Located on the highest elevation in the area it offers commanding views of the Nile, the city and desert. Overnight Aswan (B)
Day 05: (Thursday) Fishing safari. (B,L,D) Day 06: (Friday) Fishing safari. (B,L,D) Day 07: (Saturday) Fishing safari. (B,L,D) Day 08:
(Sunday) Fish the morning then return to Aswan in the late afternoon to the Basma hotel. Overnight Aswan (B)
Day 10: (Tuesday) Staff transfers you to the airport, assists with exit formalities and checking in for your international departure. (meals on the flight) SAFARI INCLUDES: All transfers by air-conditioned vehicle relating to the tour program starting with arrival to Cairo. Baggage handling of no more than 2 pieces of luggage per person however baggage and personal effects are at the owner's risk at all time during the tour. Hotels (based on double occupancy). Meals as outlined by B for breakfast, L for lunch and D for dinner. Services of an English speaking tour leader in Cairo and Aswan. Use of fishing boat for seven hours a day with an experienced English speaking fishing guide and TWO ANGLERS PER BOAT. Fishing permit, service charges and taxes. NOT included are: International or domestic air, items of a personal nature such as tips, entry visa, phone calls, laundry, drinks with meals, any items not specifically covered in the included items.
