Itinerary:

Day 01: (Saturday) Arrive Santo Domingo, staff transfers you to Hotel Santo Domingo. Evening free. Overnight Santo Domingo
NOTE: We offer upgrades to the Marriott Renaissance (+$26 per adult per night) and to the famous colonial section hotel, the Sofitel’s Nicolas de Ovando (built in 1502) (+$72 per adult per night, superior room).

Day 02: (Sunday) After breakfast discover the oldest city in the New World. Stop at "Los Tres Ojos", a natural fresh water spring, set like crystal jewels in an underground fern-covered cave. Visit the first palace in the new world, "El Alcazar" and the Cathedral of Santa Maria la Menor (NOTE: Long pants and shirts with sleeves (short or long but NO tank tops) are mandatory to enter the Cathedral). Enjoy a stroll on "Atarazana", a lovely, picturesque street, one of the first in the city and where all the most important churches, buildings and parks of the colonial city are located.
Moving forward through time depart the colonial section and enter the modern city. Hear you will see the Presidential Palace and the Cultural Plaza, where you will find the National Theater, the Museum of Modern Art and the Museum of the Dominican Man. Enjoy a typical Dominican lunch and there will be time for shopping. Evening free to enjoy the city nightlife. Overnight Santo Domingo (B,L)

Day 03: (Monday) Breakfast, check out and depart Santo Domingo at 11AM for our mountain ranch. Stop enroute at Jacaranda hotel rest stop for lunch. Continue to ranch and check in. (Overall, including stopping for lunch this is a three hour trip). Enjoy the ranch’s compound area including the pool and river. Your rustic accommodations feature large rooms with private baths. No T.V. or telephones in the rooms. Air-conditioning by Mother Nature with year round cool mountain evenings always a delight. Wireless and wired internet available in the dining room/bar area and in the reception. Telephones in the reception. Overnight Ranch. (Breakfast at hotel, Dinner at ranch)

Day 04: (Tuesday) Breakfast then you are off for a day of adventures. Enjoy your choice of white water rafting, trail riding by horseback, trekking, canyoning, mountain biking. (NOTE: some age restrictions apply to various activities) Overnight Ranch. (breakfast, lunch, dinner included)

Day 05: (Wednesday) Today do what you didn’t do yesterday. Overnight Ranch (breakfast, lunch, dinner included)

Day 06: (Thursday) Depart ranch at 10AM heading north to Santiago. The second largest city in the Dominican is known for it’s factories producing articles like clothing, luggage, sports gear and more. Arriving Santiago visit the Leon cultural center. You will learn the history of the island from it’s first native inhabitants to the Spanish colonial period. Enjoy learning about the ecological zones of the island and then visit the Baseball hall. Many famous major league players have come from the Dominican Republic. Have lunch at a nice restaurant. Continue to Isabela on the north coast. This was the first city built in the new world. Visit the historic site then on to Puerto Plata. Arriving stay at the ALL INCLUSIVE Sun Village resort. Overnight Puerto Plata (breakfast at ranch, lunch in Santiago, dinner at Sun Village.

Day 07: (Friday) Breakfast at the hotel then depart for Ocean World. Ocean World is a world-class marine park offering a number of different marine mammal attractions.
Dolphin Swim is a 30 minute session with two playful dolphins and structured by one of their experienced trainers. This fun interaction includes petting, feeding, and some thrilling surprise interactions. Restrictions apply.
Dolphin Encounter - is not a swim program but gives you the chance to meet these incredible mammals up close and personal in waist deep water. Both fun and educational.
Half-Day Sea Lion & Snorkel Reef Tour - upon arrival at the park you will be greeted by the Patagonian sea lions, the clowns of the sea. You will be given a brief educational lecture, a training session, see the amazing acrobatic skills of the sea lions. Afterwards you can pet and feed these playful mammals, even receive a kiss and hug,
The next experience is the Tropical Snorkel Reef Pool with its amazing world of colorful coral and tropical fish, the only snorkel experience with 100% visibility and calm waters guaranteed 365 days a year. The trained lifeguards will help you with snorkel gear and guide you through the pool.
Note: Bring swimsuit, change of clothes, sunscreen, towel, camera, and extra $ for tips.
Overnight Sun Village/Puerto Plata (breakfast and dinner at Sun village, lunch at Aquarius restaurant in Ocean World)

Day 08: (Saturday) Free day at Sun Village. Overnight Sun Village/Puerto Plata (breakfast, lunch, dinner).

Day 09: (Sunday) Breakfast, check out, staff transfers to the airport for your international departure. (meals on the flight)

TOUR INCLUDES: Transfers by air-conditioned vehicle related to the tour starting with arrival to the Dominican Republic. Baggage handing of no more than 1 piece of luggage plus one carry on per person, however, baggage and personal effects are at the owner's risk at all times during the tour. Hotels (based on double occupancy). Meals as outline by B for breakfast, L for lunch, and D for dinner (NOT including beverages except at all inclusive resort). Fees for visiting antiquity sites and museums. Tours with the services of an English speaking licensed guide. Service charges and taxes.

NOT included: International air, items of a personal nature such as entry or departure taxes, tips, telephone, laundry, drinks with meals except at all inclusive Sun Village, anything not specifically mentioned as included.
