Tour Itinerary

Day 01: (Sunday) Arriving Lisbon, clear immigration and customs then staff transports you to the Sheraton hotel. Overnight Lisbon.

Day 02: (Monday) Breakfast then enjoy touring Lisbon. Visit the famous castle of Sao Jorge, the historic Alfama quarter, the tomb of Vasco de Gama at the Monestry dos Jeronimos, Palacio Nacional  (the palace of kings) parks and more. Overnight Lisbon (B)

Day 03: (Tuesday) Breakfast, check out, drive north to Obidos (the walled medieval town), Nazare (famous beach resort area), Alcobaca (with it's incredible 12th century monastery), Fatima (one of the most famous religious shrines in Europe) ending the day at the Sheraton Porto. Total distance traveled about 135 miles. Overnight Oporto. (B)

Day 04: (Wednesday) Breakfast then tour Oporto, the 2nd largest city of the country and famous for it's invention of Port wine. You will visit the historic riverside are with it's old homes, churches and palaces. Visit a wine lodge and taste the liquid jewel famous all over the world. Overnight Oporto (B)

Day 05: (Thursday) After breakfast visit Guimaraes (birthplace of Portugal's first king) featuring careful preservation of medieval sites earning it a UNESCO World Heritage designation, Braga, in ancient times capital of Roman Gallaecia. Viana do Castelo with it's famous Celtic sites. Return to Oporto for the evening. Total distance traveled about 110 miles. Overnight Oporto (B)

Day 06: (Friday) After breakfast, check out and visit Aveiro (famous for it's porcelain) and Coimbra, featuring ancient mansions, castles, cathedrals and one of the oldest universities in the world with an incredible Baroque library. Return to Lisbon and the comfort of the Sheraton. Total distance traveled about 135 miles. Overnight Lisbon (B)

Day 07: (Saturday) Breakfast then depart to Sintra (this ancient town was called "Mountain of the Moon" by the celts you will visit museums and modern art galleries before driving to Cabo da Roca, the Western most point of Europe. Our next stops are Cascais and Estoril, known as the Portuguese Riviera. We will visit the impressive fortress, museums and more. Total distance traveled about 60 miles. Overnight Lisbon (B)

Day 08: (Sunday) Check out, staff transfers you to the airport, assists with exit formalities and checking in for your international departure. (Meals on the flight)

Tour includes: All transfers by air-conditioned vehicle relating to the tour program starting with arrival to Lisbon. Hotels (based on double occupancy). Meals as outlined by B for breakfast, L for lunch and D for dinner.  Services of an English speaking licensed guide/driver. Service charges and taxes.

NOT included are: air, items of a personal nature such as tips, entry visa, phone calls, laundry, beverages with meals or at any time, entry fees to sites visited, any items not specifically  covered in the included items.
