Day 01: (Sunday)
Arrive Lisbon and clear Immigration & Customs. Staff transfers you to your hotel or if you have a morning arrival you will enjoy a tour of the Belem Tower Museum (UNESCO), Monument to the Discoveries (UNESCO) and a City Tour where you will see the Tagis River, 25th of April Bridge, Lisbon cathedral, Sao Carlos Theatre, National Sanctuary of Cristo Rey. After your tour staff transfers you to your hotel, one of the Heritage Lisbon properties. The Heritage Lisbon Hotels were created with the idea of promoting charming hotels that reflect Portugal's and Lisbon's tradition and culture as in a friend's home in Lisbon. They are in the historic area of the city in converted 18th century homes, palaces and one is even an original Art Deco boutique hotel. Day 02: (Monday) Lisbon
Breakfast at the hotel then a guided tour of Lisbon including a walking tour of the Historic Alfama quarter, Jeronimos Monastery (UNESCO), Maritime Museum in west wing of Jeronimos Monastery, Castle of Sao Jorge. Lunch at own expense at Casa do Leao inside Castle of Sao Jorge. Visit the Palacio Nacional da Ajuda and the Coach Museum. Overnight Lisbon
Day 03: (Tuesday) Lisbon - Overnight Train to Madrid
Breakfast at the hotel, check out, then a guided tour of the Gulbenkian Museum, National Museum of Ancient Art. Lunch at own expense at one of the museums or local restaurants. Remainder of the day free to discover Lisbon before staff transfers you to the train station for your overnight sleeper train to Madrid departing about 10:30 PM. Overnight train
NOTE: If your arrival was late on Day 01 then the sites you would have toured that day with an early arrival are done today.
Day 04: (Wednesday) Madrid
Breakfast on the train. Arrive Madrid about 9:30 AM (Note that Madrid is one hour ahead of Lisbon so reset your watch). Staff will meet you at the station and then you will enjoy a guided tour of Palacio Real Including the Music Museum and Painting Gallery. Lunch at own expense at the Prado Museum before an afternoon guided tour of the Prado Museum. After the tour staff transfers you to your hotel. Overnight Madrid
Day 05: (Thursday) Toledo
Breakfast then a guided tour of Toledo (UNESCO) with visits to Alcazar, Cathedral of Toledo, Synagogue, Museum of El Greco, Museum de Santo Tome. Lunch at own expense in Toledo while on tour in recommended restaurants. Return to your hotel. Overnight Madrid
Day 06: (Friday) Segovia - Escorial
Breakfast then a guided tour to Segovia (UNESCO) including The Aquaduct, The Cathedral, Alcazar de Segovia, Calle Real Monuments. Lunch at own expense on tour at recommended restaurants. Continue tour to Escorial Monastery (UNESCO), Pantheon, Valley of the Fallen. Overnight Madrid
Day 07: (Saturday) Madrid
Breakfast then guided a tour to the Reina Sofia Museum, and Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum. Lunch at Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum at own expense. Visit the Basilica de San Francisco el Grande - the chapels are famed for their artistic works and frescoes including a Goya masterpiece. Return to hotel and remainder of the day at leisure. Day 08: (Sunday) Depart
Breakfast, check out, staff transfers you to the airport, assists with exit formalities and checking in for your international departure.

English Speaking Licensed Guide, Meet & greet and all airport transfers, Air conditioned vehicles for transfers and touring. Guided sightseeing as per itinerary including entrance fees. Meals as noted. Hotels based on double occupancy. Baggage handling of no more than 1 piece of luggage per person however baggage and personal effects are at the owner's risk at all times during the tour.
