Tour Itinerary

Colombus Square in Santo DomingoDay 01: (Saturday) Arrive Santo Domingo, staff transfers you to the Marriott Renaissance hotel. Enjoy mergenue lessons and dance the night away at Santo Domingo’s hottest disco. Overnight Santo Domingo

Day 02: (Sunday) After breakfast discover the oldest city in the New World. Stop at "Los Tres Ojos", a natural fresh water spring, set like crystal jewels in an underground fern-covered cave. Visit the first palace in the new world, "El Alcazar" and the Cathedral of Santa Maria la Menor (NOTE: Long pants and shirts with sleeves (short or long but NO tank tops) are mandatory to enter the Cathedral). Enjoy a stroll on "Atarazana", a lovely, picturesque street, one of the first in the city and where all the most important churches, buildings and parks of the colonial city are located.
Moving forward through time depart the colonial section and enter the modern city. Hear you will see the Presidential Palace and the Cultural Plaza, where you will find the National Theater, the Museum of Modern Art and the Museum of the Dominican Man. Enjoy a typical Dominican lunch and there will be time for shopping. Evening free to enjoy the city nightlife. Overnight Santo Domingo (B,L)

Rancho Baiguate RoomsDay 03: (Monday) Breakfast, check out and depart Santo Domingo at 11AM for our mountain ranch. Stop enroute at Jacaranda hotel rest stop for lunch. Continue to ranch and check in. (Overall, including stopping for lunch this is a three hour trip). Enjoy the ranch’s compound area including the pool and river. Your rustic accommodations feature large rooms with private baths. No T.V. or telephones in the rooms. Air-conditioning by Mother Nature with year round cool mountain evenings always a delight. Wireless and wired internet available in the dining room/bar area and in the reception. Telephones in the reception. Overnight Ranch. (Breakfast at hotel, Dinner at ranch)

Day 04: (Tuesday) Breakfast then you are off for a day of adventures. Enjoy your choice of white water rafting, trail riding by horseback, trekking, canyoning, mountain biking. (NOTE: some age restrictions apply to various activities) Overnight Ranch. (breakfast, lunch, dinner included)

RaftingDay 05: (Wednesday) Today do what you didn’t do yesterday. Overnight Ranch (breakfast, lunch, dinner included)

Day 06: (Thursday) Depart ranch at 10AM heading north to Santiago. The second largest city in the Dominican is known for it’s factories producing articles like clothing, luggage, sports gear and more. Arriving Santiago visit the Leon cultural center. You will learn the history of the island from it’s first native inhabitants to the Spanish colonial period. Enjoy learning about the ecological zones of the island and then visit the Baseball hall. Many famous major league players have come from the Dominican Republic. Have lunch at a nice restaurant. Continue to Isabela on the north coast. This was the first city built in the new world. Visit the historic site then on to Puerto Plata. Enjoy the comfort of the ALL INCLUSIVE Barcelo Premium resort at Playa Dorado. Overnight Puerto Plata (B,D + all inclusive)
Biking
Day 07: (Friday) Enjoy the hotel or perhaps an optional excursion to PARADISE ISLAND (CAYO ARENA). Overnight Puerto Plata (All Inclusive)

Day 08: (Saturday) Enjoy the hotel of perhaps an optional excursion to TROPICAL SUN SAFARI (DAMAJAGUA WATERFALLS). Overnight Puerto Plata (All inclusive)

Day 09: (Sunday) Breakfast, check out, staff transfers to the Puerto Plata airport for your international departure. (meals on the flight)
NOTE: We can provide transfers to both the Santiago airport and Santo Domingo airport for an additional charge.

TOUR INCLUDES: Transfers by air-conditioned vehicle related to the tour starting with arrival to the Dominican Republic. Baggage handing of no more than 1 piece of luggage plus one carry on per person, however, baggage and personal effects are at the owner's risk at all times during the tour. Hotels (based on double occupancy). Meals as outline by B for breakfast, L for lunch, and D for dinner (NOT including beverages except at all inclusive resort). Fees for visiting antiquity sites and museums. Tours with the services of an English speaking licensed guide. Service charges and taxes.

NOT included: International air, items of a personal nature such as entry or departure taxes, tips, telephone, laundry, drinks with meals except at all inclusive resort, anything not specifically mentioned as included.
